PSCC

The architectural intervention is a canopy over an existing disused courtyard adjacent to the PSCC, enveloping and growing from the existing tree trunk. Situated in the heart of London, the PSCC (that was planned to be the Portugal House for the Olympic Games 2012) hopes to sow the seeds for communication between Portuguese people living abroad, all of whom share strong, common roots but have not yet crossed paths. Once these paths start intersecting, they have the potential to build a solid foundation that can keep growing upward and out. This will form a common canopy enclosing a once dispersed group and become a catalyst for fostering discussion, ideas, and relationships.
